I Thought (I Was Alone)
By Kristjan Brezovnik
My heart grieved and I wanted to protect
My village, my home from the horrors I met.
I traveled around to protect my village,
But all I did was kill and pillage.
From a protector I became a conqueror,
And in my heart I felt alone.
I killed, I robbed and never saw my error,
I was completely on my own.
But then I met him,
And he took me from the rim,
He showed love and compassion,
And they surpassed my passion.
I wanted to stop killing,
To forget my past,
But it was still prying,
Until I met my best friend, at last.
I was alone a lot.
Or so I thought,
Until I met her.
She was a beautiful child,
So pure and innocent,
Until her life touched mine
And turned to ashes.
Her soul, charred from the terror,
Wanted revenge. My error!
She learned to kill, all innocence gone,
And she slaughtered to frame me.
She wanted me to suffer,
To experience the Tartarus she's been through,
She wanted me to pay,
And she didn't care what happened to her.
I have friends and I have a life again
But all she has is a special place in Tartarus
To pay for the sins she would never have committed,
Had it not been for me.
I thought I was alone,
But she is lonelier than me.
