Sin Amor is a three piece hardcore band from Middletown. They originally were a two-piece featuring Clayton The Gimp on guitar and DJ Jim on drums. The band formed in the spring of 1999. They recorded two demos that sounded like complete crap due to Jim's failing 4-track recorder. Then Reverend Matt joined on bass in the summer of 1999. Since then, they have recorded twelve songs from four different demo sessions.
The band mixes old school sounding punk (The Germs, the Dicks), power- violence (Capitalist Casualties, Logical Nonsense, Kung Fu Rick), and sludge (Noothgrush, the Melvins). They even do some other stuff, like a surf song or use funky riffs in their punk songs. All three members provide screaming vocals. Sin Amor is a very political band. They sing about the negetive effects of religion, capitalism, the backwardsness of our society, authourity, and even some personal songs, mostly expressing disgust with how specific people treat others. Gigs are few and far between (and generally met with hostility).
