Ode to Ann Stephens

Life isn’t that easy; in fact it’s too hard.
Someone has hurt me, left me emotionally scarred.

This someone with whom I have a great greavens
Is none other than my close friend, Ann Stephens.

She claims to like me, she claims to care,
But when I want to spend time with her, she just isn’t there.

"I have to work!" She says she’s too busy.
So many excuses, they’re making me dizzy.

I dread the moment; I dread the day,
When I face her, and am forced to say:

"That was your last chance, so this is the end.
To keep myself sane, I can no longer be your friend."

Maybe one day, and I hope it’s not too long,
She’ll look back and say, "I know now I was wrong."

I hoped it wouldn’t happen, so I gave her some time.
That didn’t work, so now I’ll give her this rhyme.

I hope this works. 1
