Dean
Phillipis and Tom Abraham found a place to put their
considerable talents to work. The Phillipis family has a
long history of successful restaurants. Presently, they also
own Piccolo in Huntington and Mill Pond House in Centerport.
Table 9 is not just a place to eat, it is a fine dinning
restaurant where you can have a dinning experience. You are
greeted by one of the managers; opening manager, Jennifer
Koch of Mill Pond House and Table 9 managers Michael Meaney
& Francine Travilin. The classically modern decor is
striking and makes you feel that you are in a special space
as soon as you enter. The welcoming staff strives to make
you feel at home and the bar area invites you to have a
cocktail before you sit for dinner. There is a high backed
banquette as well as bar tables in the area. Two flat screen
televisions can keep you informed on the nightly game or
news as you relax before dinner. Bartenders invite you to
look at a wine list, menu or perhaps to start with an
appetizer at the bar.
The dinning room on the main floor
is stunning. You may be seated at a free standing table or
along the oversized comfortable banquette ~ with pillows
that make you feel even more at home. Subtle lighting
illuminates the room surrounded by mirrors and modern
artwork. The upstairs dinning room with access by stair or
elevator is a destination. The room is warm and inviting
with rich carpeting, gorgeous lighting and layers of
draperies.
You are invited to start with a
cocktail or to have a look at the extensive, interesting
wine list. Opening Chef Joe Fuscaldo of Piccolo and House
Chef Nelson Rothstein have created a truly exciting and
varied menu. We believe all guests will find menu items that
will intrigue the mind and delight the pallet. Prime meats,
fresh fish, shellfish, veal, chicken and homemade pastas are
always on the menu as well as exciting daily specials.
Pastry Chef Vita Shanley creates
the perfect ending to a meal~ beautiful looking and
scrumptious desserts~ all made on premises. Desserts may be
paired with a glass of port, dessert wine or distinctive
cognac. A special occasion cake for a couple or a large
party can be arranged for in advance, just ask when you make
your reservation.
The entire staff has one goal; to
make your dinning experience special each and every time you
enter. As you leave you can expect to be invited back, we
want you to be part of the Table 9 family.
