in the half sleepless silence of dawn
My love steals upon me stealthfully
And rests his impatient lips upon mine.
As in a dream, my lips part
Begging our souls to reunite once more.
And as in a dream, my body hungers,
Aching fo feel him inside me.
Shadows slip through the darkness,
Outside I hear far off birds cry to their mates.
My body arches upward to pull him down.
As the sun screams through the shade,
I whisper his name, my soul pleading for him to stay.
But the dawn's light chases away shadows,
I open my eyes to find Him gone once more.
