Peace
Peace I ask of thee o river,
Peace, peace, peace.
E're I learn to live serenely,
Cares will cease.
From the hills I gather courage,
Visions of the day to be.
Strength to lead and strength to follow,
All are given unto me.
Peace I ask of thee o river,
Peace, peace, peace.
Peace Like A River
I've got peace like a river
(motion of waves)
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
In my soul
(hand over heart)
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
I've got peace like a river
In my soul
joy like a fountain
(hands together, spread apart in arcs)
love like an ocean
(rotate hands around each other)
peace like a river, joy like a fountain, love like an ocean
(all three movements)
Peanut Song
Found a peanut, Found a peanut,
Found a peanut just now
Just now I found a peanut
Found a peanut just now
Cracked it open
It was rotten
Ate it anyway
Got a tummy ache
Called the doctor
Got medicine
Died anyway
Went to heaven
Didn't like it
Went the other way
Got a job there
I was happy
Percy the Pale-faced Polar
Bear
Way up in the land of ice and snow
(Bring hands up high)
Where the temperature drops to forty below
(On "drops," drop arms and hit knees)
Who's the happiest one up there?
It's Percy the pale-faced polar bear.
(See below)
He sleeps all day and then at night
(Hands together, rest on hands, wake up)
He catches fish by the pale moonlight
(Reel in a pretend fish)
Has no worries, has no cares,
He's Percy the pale-faced polar bear.
(See below)
Then one day a hunter came
(Shoot pretend gun)
Caught poor Percy by the snout
(Hold nose)
Put him in a great big cage
(Make shape of square with hands)
And he howled and he growled, but he couldn't get out
(Swipe with both arms)
Now he's living in a zoo,
Funniest thing, he likes it too
Cause he met his girlfriend there, and she loves:
Percy the pale-faced polar bear
Whooo?
Percy the pale-faced polar bear
(Percy= write a "P" in the air, pale-faced= pass hand over face twice,
po= hit left elbow with right hand, lar= with right hand in place, hit
right elbow with left hand, bear= with both arms in place, nod head once)
Picture A Cowboy
Picture a cowboy
All dressed in red,
Fell off his saddle
Bashed in his head,
Oh there was blood on the saddle
Blood on the ground,
Great big globs of blood all around.
Second verse, same as the first, a little bit louder and a little bit
worse . . .
Pink Pajamas
I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it's hot,
I wear my flannel nighty in the winter when it's not,
and sometimes in the springtime and sometimes in the fall,
I get into my little bed with nothing on at all.
That's the time that you should see me,
That's the time that you should see me,
That's the time that you should see me,
When I jump into my little bed with nothing on at all!
Pioneer Song
If I had the wings of a pioneer, pioneer
Up to the woods I would fly, would fly
There to remain as a pioneer, pioneer,
Until the day that I die, drop dead
Chorus
Oh la la, oh la la, oh la, oh la
Oh la la, oh la la la, Uh huh
Oh la la, oh la la, oh la, oh la
Oh la la, oh la la la

after each verse, say "chorus" and after each choruse, say the name of
the next verse)
The Polar Bear Song
We are the polar bears; brave and bold
We never get hot and we never get cold
Because going swimming often occurs
And the rest of the time we have plenty of fur!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Princess Pat
The Princess Pat, (Stand on one leg, put arms like
Egyptian dance, do twice)
Lived in a tree, (Make shape of tree in front of you)
She sailed across, (With one arm, make waves)
The seven seas (Put out seven fingers on "seven" and shape
of c for "seas")
She sailed across, (Same as above sailed across)
The channel two, (Bring hands down at same time on "channel,"
put up two fingers)
And she took with her, (Put hands over shoulders like carrying
bag, do twice)
A rigabamboo (While bending down, wave hands down too)
Chorus:
A rigabamboo, (Same as above)
Now what is that? (Put out one hand, then the other, like
asking question)
It's something made, (Hands in fists, hit each fist on
top of each other)
By the Princess Pat. (Same as above)
It's red and gold, (Move one hand in circles and end up
like (Now what is that?")
And purple too. (With red and gold hand out, do same movement
with other hand
That's why it's called! (Put hands like megaphones around mouth
and shout "called!")
A rigabamboo (Same as above)
Now Captain Jack, (Salute)
Had a mighty fine crew, (Salute three times, alternating hands)
He sailed across, (Same as first verse)
The channel two, (Same as first verse)
But his ship did sink, (Pinch nose, other hand in air,
wiggle down)
And so will you, (Point to audience)
If you don't take, (Same as first verse)
A rigabamboo (Same as first verse)
Puff the Magic Dragon
Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist, in a land called Hanalee
Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff,
And brought him string and sealing wax and other fancy stuff
Together the world they traveled, on a boat with billowed sails,
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail.
Noble kings and princes would bow when er'e they came,
Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name
A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys.
Painted wigs and giant's rings, make way for other toys.
One gray night it happened, Jackie came no more,
And Puff that mighty dragon he ceased his fearless roar.
His head was bent in sorrow, Green scales fell like rain,
Puff no longer went to play along that Cherry Lane.
Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave,
So Puff that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his cave.
One bright morn it happened, Puff woke from a dream.
He thought he heard a familiar voice and Jackie's smile it seemed.
He looked around his cavern and over by the door,
Stood a little boy with a piece of string and a smile he'd seen before.
He said, "Hello, I'm Billy. My dad told me your name.
He said I'd find you in your cave along the Cherry Lane."
Puff the magic dragon smiled in his joy
He'd never be alone again, for this was Jackie's boy!
