My love for you engulfs me.
A white hot flame
that burns my senses
and scorches my soul.
Images of you, imbedded in my every waking moment, consuming my dreams.
Your smile.. so infectious, infuses me with a warmth so potent, I shiver in it's. presence
Your laughter.. like a hundred wind chimes melodiously singing in the wind. Your eyes.. captivate me crystal blue, they sparkle like the icy cold waters of a spring fed lake high in the mountains on a late November morn.
Humor, wit, intelligence and kindness blend together to form an original, more moving than a masterpiece from an old world artist.

And yet, I know.

From the bowels of my being
the Love i give freely, is not returned,
as my tears fall unnoticed to the cold ground.
Your laughter echoes off the sun,
while my heart shatters like fine bone china striking the hard marble floor.
You are basking in the glory of love yet to come,
as i lay on the ground like a slain beast, dying a thousand deaths.
You are still standing vibrant, rejoicing in your lust for life.
In my time spent on this earth I know I have been enriched, blessed, to know a love such as this.
I embrace the power that allowed me to share, even this minuscule moment of knowing you, and curse the fate that so destined me to abandon this forsaken existence.
Alone,

to take with me .. a love

unperceived
unreturned.
