I was born in
Riverside California, but spent very little time there. Being
an army brat my whole life, I traveled world-wide, seeing many
places through a child's eyes. By the time I was 10, I had lived
in Italy, Germany, Korea, California, Texas, and Kansas. When
I was 17, I followed my natural roots, and joined the Kansas Army
National Guard. I spent approx. 8 months at Redstone Arsenal Alabama,
learning basic and advanced electronics, how to operate the IFTE
system, and in general become an electronic technician. I stayed
in the Guard for 3 years, then went into the Active Duty. Fourteen
days later, I was en route to Germany. Talk about timing! Currently,
I am in Katterbach, Germany, in an Aviation unit. I have been in my Unit almost two and a half years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. While in Germany, I joined an organization called the SCA, or Society of Creative Anachronism. It is a medieval group that holds events in castle ruins, dresses in medieval garb, and roleplays thirteen to sixteen century activities, including swordfighting in full armor.
My
Interests
I guess that
the best - and fastest - way to really get to know me is by discovering
what I like. So here goes . . .
I love horses,
camping, fishing, hunting, lots of outdoorsy stuff . . .
I'm a self-proclaimed
artist. Here's some recent work.
I'm an avid book
reader. Some of my favourite authors include: Anne McCaffery,
Mercedes Lackey, Melanie Rawn, Piers Anthony, Terry Brooks . .
.
The list could go on and on . . . I have a library of about 550
books here at home.
