I didn't have time to sit around and dwell on that shitty mood I was in yesterday. Just as I was getting ready to jump in the shower the phone rang, and for some reason I decided to answer it. It was x (formerly the wife) telling me my daughter wanted to talk to me, which instantly cheered me up. Anyhow, L/One called just to say she loves me, and then went on rattling off her day's activities. It is tough enough at times to decipher her 3 1/2 year old dialogue in person, and even tougher via the phone, but that phone call lifted my spirits dramatically. To top it off, she called just a few minutes later to tell me once again that she loves me! There are so many times I wonder why I brought her into this world, with all the uncertainties facing her generation, but just one phone call (or two) like that one makes it all worth while! Later |
