I woke up this past monday morning burning on the inside. The sun was filtering down from the sky through the window, just like normal, but when I looked out of the window I noticed everything was a bit brighter than normal. The landscape in my vision was foreign to me. Just then a bullet train whizzed past my window. After it passed I got a better look at the terrain, and noticed with some surprise that the ground as far as I could see was comprised of large sheets of metal. I could see giant rivets poking their heads up like molehills at the corners of each sheet. Then, for some unknown reason, I looked up at the sun. Grinning to myself now, I noticed that it wasn't a ball of burning gases at all, but a huge incandescent light bulb. Probably on a dimmer switch, I thought to myself. Another bullet train passed in the opposing direction. After checking the clock, I hopped back into bed to get some more sleep. I still had a few hours before work.
