Hello.
I'm Jane-Frances.

I grew up as a city girl in Sydney. After college there, I took my first job in Cloncurry, North West Queensland, where I met Mark who was also teaching there.
I'm a primary school  teacher with the Catholic Education Office in Townsville. I teach between 25-30 students in my class each year. In Townsville, I have taught at the Marian school since the school was established in 1988, but  in 2002,  I applied for and received a transfer to a school only 15 minutes from home. I am really enjoying it. I taught Yr 5/6's last year; 10/11 year olds. This year, 2003, I've taken the same students so have them now as year 6/7's.

I've decided to do some study after a lengthy absence from it, so I am starting my Masters in Educational Leadership with an on-line course. Two of my friends from the Marian Staff , Diana and Tess, are doing it too, so we will support each other.

My family mean a lot to me, like most people.

This is my niece, Christine with her daughter, me of course, my sister "Sissy" (Christine's mum), and my Mum enjoying fish 'n chips last year.

Strolling on the beach with our dogs is my favorite thing to do

These three lovely ladies came to my presentation of the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2001; my sister-in-law Janet, Mark's sister Kim, and my sister Maureen.

Mark & I were married in 1983.

I have a close circle of friends whom I treasure and we get together often.

We have two lovely dogs called Kea and Pocket. They come from the same litter, believe it or not. Their mother was a pure-bred border collie. I walk the "girls" nearly every day on the beach, which is at the end of our garden.

Those of you who know me, know that I love birthdays.

I count down to mine.
