Our Community

Hi. I'm Mark. My wife Jane-Frances and I live in a beach-side suburb of Townsville, a city of 150000. Townsville is in Australia, in the state of Queensland. It is a sub-tropical city some 1500 km from our capital, Brisbane.

Our community of Toolakea Beach is roughly 30 km from Townsville. There are 400-500 homes in the area, with a school and a convenience store. The main northern highway passes by approx 5km from the     beach. A large park here is frequented by many tourists and travellers during the winter. Summer temperatures are a little unpleasant, averaging 35oC ( 95oF...try this temp. converter), but a swim and air-conditioning soon solve that.
