Time to update
...
Its March 16th, 2003 Sunday Afternoon
I am still working for Future
School as a school liaison officer. I have just come back from a two
week trip to Darwin, in the Northern Territory where I visited with many
schools and ten schools agreed to share information about the program
with their parent body
Jane-Frances is well into another busy year. She is teaching the same
group of students this year. She has just started her Masters in
Educational Leadership. I'm still amazed by her energy, commitment and
enthusiasm.
We had a great holiday over Xmas at the Gold Coast and with my
siblings and their families in Brisbane. My sister Kim and hubby, Russell
organized the christening of their new son while we were there.
The weather is still rather clammy as summer winds down. We've had
some rain but not a great amount. The winds have not been very favourable
for kite surfing, my latest passion. Air temperatures is still up around 30oC. (Check out the converter.)
Kea and Pocket are slow but happy. They are getting fussy with food.
We think it's just old age.
I had my operation in January as I have a pterygium (sun damage
growth) on my eye. While it was rather painful for quite a few days and
remains unsightly (excuse the pun) to this day, at least its gone.
I want to acknowledge a friend in Sydney, an old college buddy of
Jane-Frances, who is fighting cancer. You know who you are. Our best
wishes are with you. Hang in there
Till
next time.
Ciao.
