Dear Friend,
I've been trying to let you know over again that God loves you so much. You know that. In fact, He has already proven His love by the death of His son, Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary to save you from sin's penalty. He gave His best for you, but you don't seem to care. You've never taken His love seriously nor accepted it. I wonder what kind of heart do you have.
GOD IS VERY GOOD -- HE WON'T DO YOU HARM.
Maybe you are thinking that if you give your life to the Lord, He will give you all the troubles and trials in life which you cannot bear. God's dealing is not like that. What do you think will be the response of a father to a child who says, "Father, I love you and I want to do what pleases you". Will the father shake his child and say, "I'll make you regret for saying such words"? That would not be the reaction of a loving father. The Bible says, "If ye then being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him", (Matthew 7:11). Indeed the Lord is good as the Psalmist says, "O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him" (Psalm 34:8).
GOD IS VERY RICH -- HE HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR YOU.
Perhaps you are thinking that if you give your heart to Him, He will be the hindrance of the fulfillment of your dream for a beautiful and happy future. You just don't know Him so well. He can give you the best things which no other person can give --- success (Joshua 1:8), prosperity (II Chronicles 26:5), abundant life (John 10:10), and eternal life (John 6:47). He is the creator and the possessor of all things (Isaiah 45:12; Psalm 24:1). He is very rich and He promised to give you a very beautiful and bright future. Jesus said, "In my Father's house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2) Your deepest longings will be fulfilled in the Lord as the psalmist says, "Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Psalm 37:4).
GOD IS VERY LOVING -- HE GAVE HIS BEST FOR YOU
You just don't understand how great is His love for you. Inspite of the fact that you don't care for Him, He still cares for you (I Peter 5:7). He always thinks of you (Psalm 139:17). He knows your sinful condition and He wants to save you from eternal destruction ( II Peter 3:9). He loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for your sins. The Bible says, " For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
Indeed, Jesus has done the greatest thing for you. He suffered a great deal and died for you because your soul is so precious. Now He lives in glory and offers you the greatest gift -- eternal life. Why are you reluctant to receive Him as your Saviour and Lord? He can be your best friend and faithful companion (Hebrews 13:5). You'll never find someone like Him (Isaiah 40:25-26). Why won't you accept Him? What kind of heart do you have -- a stone?
