1. Do not brag
No
one is perfect and you have your weaknesses. You may be good in some things but
not in all things.
How’s your spiritual condition in life? Do you think you are good enough to win at the end of your life? The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3: 23). Your soul is in danger because of SIN. Romans 6:23 says: “The wages of sin is death”. The second death refers to eternal suffering in hell. Read Revelation 21: 8.
2. Know your
purpose & goals
Every
action must contribute something to accomplish your purpose and goals. A man
must not be divided in order to reach his goal & fulfill his purpose.
Do you have a purpose in life? What is your purpose in life? Do you think you exist in this life without a purpose? To graduate, to find a good job, to marry and rear up children are not our main purpose in life. Such are goals, which revolve around our purpose. But what is your purpose of existence? Life without purpose is meaningless.
Jesus has a wonderful purpose
for your life. He said in John 10: 10, “I am come that they might have life
and might have it more abundantly”. If
you live a life without peace, meaning purpose and direction, you are defeated.
3.
Don’t look back
Look straight ahead. Focus on your target.
4.
Drink water
Water
is very important for your health. If
you run out of water and air you get weak and you’ll faint.
You cannot do it by yourself.
You need God. You cannot save yourself, because you are a miserable sinner. You
are by nature a sinner and so you will always commit sin (Read Rom.5: 12; Jn.8:
34). But God offers you the free gift of salvation by the death of His Son.
John 3: 16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.” You can
receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”,
Eph.2: 8-9.
Jesus offers you the water of life. John 4:14 says, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” It is not enough to know that Jesus can satisfy your heart and save you, you must receive Him as your Lord and Saviour. John 1: 12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”. Will you receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life?
