Lesson No. 4
Affliction means physical, mental or emotional suffering. When a Christian is afflicted, the question that usually comes to his mind is, "Why did God allow this thing to happen to me ?" Sometimes, an afflicted Christian thinks that God has abandoned him. Although there are many problems in this world, the Lord has promised never to leave the Christian. (Hebrews 13:5) . God allows affliction, but He makes sure that it works for the good of those who love Him. (Rom. 8:28).
