The Family Room
You have stumbled into the family room, the door
should have been locked,
but since you are here....
A Single candle lights the room.
The only furniture in the room is a bookcase,
a small table and a comfortable looking love seat.
You walk across the room and look at the items
on the dusty bookshelf.
There is a dusty photo
album
There is a small
book bound in maroon velvet
There is paper
and an ink well
Photo
Album
You open the photo album, there is nothing on the first
page. It looks like all the photos have been removed and you go to
the second page. There is nothing there as well only the glue that
once held the photos to the sheet. You turn the next few pages and
still seeing nothing in the book quickly turn pages in the middle and end,
curious if there is anything there at all. You slam the book closed
and a cloud of dust envelops you. You put the book back on the shelf,
wondering what kind of a person keeps an empty photo album.

The
Small Book bound in maroon velvet
You open the the book to the middle, checking to see if
it is empty. Seeing writing scribbled on the pages you close the
book and decide to sit on the love seat. Odd, you think, the bookself
is covered with dust, yet there is no dust on the little couch or the table
beside you. Wondering why you didn't notice it earlier there is a
bottle of tequila on the small table and a glass. You say to yourself,
"why the hell not" and pour yourself a generous helping. Turning
your attention back to the book, you set the glass down and open the books
cover, though not before you take a moment to run your fingers over the
velvet cover. You turn first few pages and come to a table of contents.

About
Me
I am a college student. My
major is Anthropology and I plan to specialize in Mayan Heiroglyphic's.
I have 4 pets:
Tequila-
a Sunday Conure. He loves to scream really loud. His nickname is
Tequila Monster and is called tequila because his feathers are orange,
yellow, blue and green.
Margarita-
a Blue Crown Conure. She loves to say "hello", "I love you",
"I love Tequila", "Shut up Tequila" -when
tequila screams, "Up, Up," -when
Tequila gets off his perch, and she'll
nip me on the ear or bite Tequila's foot
just so she can say "Ouch". She is
called Maragrita because she is all green
with blue on the top of her head. (While
I call my birds "he" and "she" we do
not know what sex they really are.
To find this out they have to be DNA
tested and I don't care to know that bad)
Brandy-
a Rot-Shepard Mix. She is the newest addition to the family.
She has not nickname but i call her my
"rotten puppy" since she is a Rot-Mix.
She is 5 months old and loves to fetch,
sit, beg, hog the bed and sneak up on
the couch. We call her Brandy because
we wanted to keep with the liquor theme.
Dale-
a human, actually my husband. Have had him for almost 8 years now.
We call him Dale, well because that is
what his mother named him.

My
Work
My previous job was as a florist.
It really was a cool job and contrary to what most people think, florists
don't play with ribbons and bows all day. But now I moved to a different
city 4 hours away and the pay for florists is half.
So I got a new job. Are you really
reading this, gosh. Anyway now I am a stage hand. I started
out in the local union, but it appears as though in florida the union is
a non-union union. If that makes sense. That was doing decorating
for conventions, i didn't like it that much.
So then we made connections and now we are
stage hands doing concert
work. It's a physical job but a cool one at that. You get T-Shirts
that say "Local Crew" and the bands name and you get to be a part of the
concert, why, with out other people like me, there wouldn't be much of
the concert. I usually voluteer for lighting, and ablsolutely hate
doing the audio. The speakers are usually so heavy and lighting usually
takes longer to set up. Here is a list of the concerts I have worked,
though there are a few bands I'm not overly thrilled about, I was still
part of the crew.
Concerts
Worked
Motley Crue
N'Sync
Lynard Skynard
Garth Brooks
Celine Dion
Rod Stewart
Motley Crue was the first concert I
was anxious to work.
N'Sync and Lynard Skynard didn't give
us t-shirts.
The bad thing I could say about working
concerts and shows is the all black wardrobe. Now the only nice clothes
I seem to have are black. Especially since at the end of the concert
the shirts they hand out are generally black. Plus black is professional
dress for a stage hand,
even if you are wearing jeans and a
t-shirt.

My
Writing
I have written numerous things. The
most obvious is this page. My husband created it, then after a while
I got to thinking it was pretty lame. He wanted me to tell him what
I wanted on the page and I really wasn't interested in it. But after
a while, I became interested. I changed it and added stuff
to it. Then I decided to renovate it. And here it is.
I even changed the name.
But back to writing, I've writen numerous
short stories and poems. Some of which can be view in The
Study in the Previous Folders. There is stuff that I have not
posted yet. Well because If I ever decide to do some things with
it, some places will only take previously unpublished works.
I am currently finishing up a novel, titled
"REBEL LOVE". It's a historical Romance, based in Richmond Vriginia
during the start of the Civil War. Finding a literary agent is hard,
you can read about this little journey of mine in Agent
Adventures, which is updated frequently. You can even read about
my Rejection Letters that agents have sent
in response to my query letters, some of them are pretty interesting.
