Seattle Filmworks

Many of the pictures on this site were taken using Seattle FilmWorks high quality film and processing. (Don't judge the quality by my low-res scans.)  I can personally attest to the fact that the quality of their film and prints is excellent.  Be sure to check out the Free Scanning and Internet Delivery offer

About Seattle FilmWorks

Seattle FilmWorks has been processing film for customers around the world for over 20 years. On a typical day, our 800+ employees process over 20 miles of film in our state-of-the-art 65,000 sq ft lab. We generated over 30 million digital images last year. Seattle FilmWorks delivers all scanned digital images free to any customer with an e-mail address. It's a great way to raise money for your club, school or church. That means instant and convenient viewing and sharing with friends, family, club members and business contacts via the Internet.

Respected national publications have rated our photofinishing as the best in the country! When you send us a roll of film for processing, you'll discover for yourself why we have a world-wide reputation for superior quality and service. A "big" one-hour lab may process several dozen rolls of film a day. We do tens of thousands of rolls a day. That means we can afford the best equipment to give you the finest quality.

For example, a one-hour lab photofinishing machine costs about $60,000. The Seattle FilmWorks Print-Ops department has 11 fully computerized multiscanning printers that cost over $400,000 each. They automatically analyze each and every frame from your film and adjust for the best color and contrast. And each unit is calibrated daily before production begins by a quality-control technician.

For years we've been offering features the rest of the industry is now touting as "advanced." We call it the most advanced system for photography.

We can give you slides AND prints from any C-41 color print film or "chrome" film (including Kodak, Fuji, Konica and Agfa). And we were the first to put photos on floppy disk (now on CD) at an affordable price. Our photo-indexing system has set the standard. Every photo we print has the frame and unique roll number printed on the back so that you can quickly and easily find the matching negative for reprints. And our handy Pictures Plus Index makes it a snap to catalog your pictures. We even wrap your negatives in a remarkable sleeving which protects them from scratches and fingerprints.

And remember, our prices include a replacement roll of film, so you'll never have to worry about running out.

We stand behind every product and service we offer with our Famous 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. You must be absolutely delighted with your order. If not, we'll make it right or refund your money, whichever you prefer.

This is the kind of technical sophistication and customer service a storefront lab just can't match.

Reel.com

If you're in the mood for some "moving pictures" after looking at all of these still shots, head over to Reel.com.  I've purchased a few movies from this great website.  They really do have a huge selection and some great bargains.  I really like their search function, which lets you look for a particular movie, or list movies featuring a particular actor or director.

About Reel.com

Movie Expertise

Reel.com is changing the way movie lovers buy movies with its vast selection and valuable movie information. The company is the No. 1 online video seller. Reel.com features the largest selection of movies (100,000 titles on VHS and 4,000 on DVD!) and a wide variety of cult, classic, kids favorites, hard-to-find, foreign and art-house films. More than just a video store, Reel.com also offers helpful information about virtually any film ever available on video to help customers discover movies that match their individual tastes. Reel.com's staff includes more than 40 writers whose expertise and knowledge of film extends to all movie genres. These writers deconstruct the films in Reel.com's online store, rendering detailed "Reel Snapshots," 30-word descriptions crafted to explain who would like the movie and why, and "Movies at a Glance," a chart that scores the movie's basic elements such as how much suspense, violence and action it has. The writers also provide "Movie Matches," a listing of films that share similar profiles and themes with the movie selected, along with descriptions contextualizing the similarities.

Great Prices
Reel.com has the best selection and the lowest prices on the Internet for both new and used videos, as well as DVDs and laserdiscs. The company discounts all purchases at least 30 percent off of suggested retail prices for DVD and 15 percent for VHS.
