- Pieces under the title, "There was a Field" should be of no more than 500 words.
- Entries must be clearly written and the name and address of the writer should be sent on a separate sheet.
- The entry fee is £3 or $5. There is no limit to the amount of entries per person but an entry fee must accompany each entry.
- No entry form is needed.
- If entry is to be acknowledged, you should enclose a SAE or International Reply Coupon.
- A panel of experienced and award-winning writers will judge the competition. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning results.
- Cheques should be made payable to "The Cloonacool Park Development Fund" and entries sent to, Pat McCarrick, P O Box 5000, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Ireland.
- Closing date for entry is November 30th 1998. The winner will be notified as soon as possible after December 8th 1998 and arrangements made for presentation of prize.
- Submissions of work will be considered an acceptance of these rules.
