Rules of Entry

  1. Pieces under the title, "There was a Field" should be of no more than 500 words.

  2. Entries must be clearly written and the name and address of the writer should be sent on a separate sheet.

  3. The entry fee is £3 or $5. There is no limit to the amount of entries per person but an entry fee must accompany each entry.

  4. No entry form is needed.

  5. If entry is to be acknowledged, you should enclose a SAE or International Reply Coupon.

  6. A panel of experienced and award-winning writers will judge the competition. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning results.

  7. Cheques should be made payable to "The Cloonacool Park Development Fund" and entries sent to, Pat McCarrick, P O Box 5000, Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, Ireland.

  8. Closing date for entry is November 30th 1998. The winner will be notified as soon as possible after December 8th 1998 and arrangements made for presentation of prize.

  9. Submissions of work will be considered an acceptance of these rules.
