Bedazzled

Black haired raven
without cause or morning
smirked through squinty brown eyes
and kissed my hand tenderly

Without colorful warning
she sweetly asked me to stay,

I could not stay.

Time went by like a photograph,
with red on my tan skin
and death in my pale hazel eyes
the death of a wicked world.

“With or without me” I mumbled
”with or without”.  But Jaron
feels betrayed by me from
my own innocence of wisdom
and blind love for the world.

I stayed behind too long
and she is something new to me:
reality.
