Eastern Bronze Statue XVI Century
|
This rare eastern statue belongs to the Asia-Art Gallery in SoHo, Manhattan. The pointer finger was bent backwards, and in order to restore it to its appropriate position, a small torch was used. With the aid of masking tape covered clams (to protect the bronze texture) I gently bent the finger to its appropriate position. |
XVIII Century English Comod

I tried to touch minimum as neccessary, I glued the loose corners, using brown glue and wood clams. Next day I cleaned the rusty glue, put hard wax in the cracks, (the waxes must match the color of the vains of the wood) cleaned it with gray soap, and buffed it with a cotton spunge, and I ended with french-polish.. The owners were fully satisfied. |

Georgian Office Desk

The mahogany piece of wood molding has been damaged, from an impact of a chair. In order to cut the special piece of mahogany wood molding, I had to adjust the knife of my jack plane so that it would match the look of the original molding. Afterwards i glued, filled, retouched and added French polish. |
