Academic Affairs

I'm working on my Ph.D. in English literature at Columbia University. My particular areas of interest are the Victorian Novel, law and literature, and feminist theory. The working title of my dissertation is Law and the Unspeakable in the Nineteenth-Century British Novel.

Some of the authors I'll be considering include Lewis Carroll, Charles Dickens, Wilkie Collins, George Eliot, Sir Walter Scott, George Meredith and Caroline Norton. I'll also be looking at the Jack the Ripper murders and the attendant media imagery.

Eventually, I will probably put my dissertation proposal online. Right now, I'm still learning my way around doing all of this!
