THE BANK SAY NO/MY BAD

Warning: This Album Contains...
Two tapes for the price of one! Also, two tapes that fit onto one so you're actually just getting one tape. Either way, I couldn't think of two more drastically different works to put on the same tape together. The first half, The Bank Say No, portrays a manic rush of thoughts from Burt and Donnie while at odds with Bobbi, who tries to turn the recorder off at any chance she gets. Songs are composed on the spot with vocals and guitar and stay relatively short. The second half of the tape, My Bad, is an excercise in impatience. Each song tries to keep itself under a minute, usually successfully. This second half is totally distorted through pedals and keyboards with faulty pitch-bend chips. The noise culminates in a three minute long song led by backwards saxophone and trumpet. Song topics? Restaraunts, Bobbi, real estate, mythopoeicism, triple sec... They may sound interesting, but the truth is that nothing really clicked for anyone during the My Bad recording, so don't expect boatloads of wit and insight.
