Are you covered?
I was asked,
And in reply I did show
The pew where I was wont to go.
But are you covered?
I was asked,
And in reply I made this boast,
My works are known from coast to coast.
But are You covered?
I was asked,
And in reply brought forth my family tree,
An impressive record of religiosity.
But are YOU covered?
I was asked.
My confidence melted into doubt,
And I asked,
Is there something I left out?
In all you've shown,
Where is Christ?
It is His blood alone
That holds the power to atone.
Are you covered?
I now ask.
In your life, has He His rightful place?
Have you been covered by His grace?
