Last month I wondered:
Is there a tendency for Canadian NHL stadiums to play Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll, Part Two" after a home-team goal more so than American NHL teams who appear to favor Blur's "Song 2"?

So I did some research and found nothing on the subject. But, it wasn't a total loss as through that research, I did create an extremely digestible Hockey Bibliography.

It appears, however, that my hypothesis was ill-conceived as there is evidence that there are a number of factors that determine the choice of 'puck rock anthem'. The Globe and Mail reported today that the Calgary Flames have banned Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll, Part Two" in light of Gary's recent arrest and charge of possessing child pornography.

Rock and Roll.
Whoo-hoo.
