There have been a couple of taggers at work at the library where I work.

Tagging, if ya don't know, is the act of marking, either with spray paint or magic marker, public space with a stylized signature called a tag.

Street gangs use it to mark territory. Other teenage boys use it for territorial pissing.

Well I am pissed off that these dudes are marking up the library (it's MY turf dammit). I think tagging is ugly and stupid (not graffiti as a whole, mind you; I do to like certain aspects of the art).

It amazes me that something as simple as writing your name repeatedly can be interpreted as serious culture.

And don't be starting with me that I don't understand this form of urban culture. I own Bomb the Suburbs. So there.
