I have a lot of friends in this world.
Trying to count them would be foolish.
There are even some I don't know that I have.
It's very rare that one can find so many who care
So when you tapped me on the shoulder
Asked if I would care to listen,
Naturally I said yes.
I was told it was serious
So beyond a doubt I became concerned,
Only to find out you'd been thinking awhile
You told me that I had touched your life in a very special way
So that there is no doubt as to who's going to stay-it's me.
That cold and rainy evening you told me this,
When I was tired and sad, sickened of the past.
You made my day bright, and that I cannot repay.
