there's a letter on the desktop
that i dug out of a drawer
the last truce we ever came to
in our adolescent war
and i start to feel the fever
from the warm air through the screen
you come regular like seasons
shadowing my dreams
and the mississippi's mighty
but it starts in minnesota
at a place that you could walk across
with five steps down
and I guess that's how you started
like a pinprick to my heart
but at this point you rush right through me
and i start to drown
and there's not enough room
in this world for my pain
signals cross and love gets lost
and time passed makes it plain
of all my demon spirits
i need you the most
i'm in love with your ghost
i'm in love with your ghost
dark and dangerous like a secret
that gets whispered in a hush
(don't tell a soul)
when i wake the things i dreamt about you
last night make me blush
(don't tell a soul)
and you kiss me like a lover
then you sting me like a viper
i go follow to the river
play your memory like a piper
and i feel it like a sickness
how this love is killing me
i'd walk into the fingers
of your fire willingly
and dance the edge of sanity
i've never been this close
i'm in love with your ghost
unknowing captor
you never know how much you
pierce my spirit
but i can't touch you
can you hear it
a cry to be free
oh i'm forever under lock and key
as you pass through me
now i see your face before me
i would launch a thousand ships
to bring your heart back to my island
as the sand beneath me slips
as i burn up in your presence
and i know now how it feels
to be weakened like achilles
with you always at my heels
this bitter pill i swallow
is the silence that i keep
it poisons me i can't swim free
the river is too deep
though i'm baptized by your touch
i am no worse than most
in love with your ghost
you are shadowing my dreams
(in love with your ghost)
(in love with your ghost)
(in love with your ghost)
Romeo And Juliet.
Covered by Indigo Girls
A lovestruck Romeo sings the streets a serenade
Laying everybody low with a love song that he made
Finds a streetlight, steps out of the shade
Says something like "You and me, babe, how about it?"
Juliet says "Hey, it's Romeo! You nearly give me a heart attack!"
He's underneath the window,
She's singing "Hey-la, my boyfriend's back -
You shouldn't come around here singing up at people like that!
Anyway, whatcha gonna do about it?"
Juliet, the dice was loaded from the start
And I bet and you exploded into my heart
And I forget, I forget the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?
We come up on different streets
They both were streets of shame
Both dirty, both mean
Yes, and the dream was just the same
And I dreamed your dream for you
And now your dream is real
How can you look at me as if I was just another one of your deals?
When you can fall for chains of silver
You can fall for chains of gold
You can fall for pretty strangers and the promises they hold
You promised me everything - You promised me thick and thin, yeah
Now you just say "Oh, Romeo, yeah,
You know I used to have a scene with him."
Juliet, when we made love you used to cry
You said "I love you like the stars above, I'll love you till I die"
There's a place for us
You know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?
I can't do the talks like they talk on the TV
And I can't do a love song like the way its meant to be
I can't do everything but I'll do anything for you
I can't do anything except be in love with you
And all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
All I do is keep the beat to Bad Company
All I do is kiss you through the bars of a rhyme
Julie, I'd do the stars with you, anytime
Juliet, when we made love you used to cry
You said "I love you like the stars above, I'll love you till I die"
There's a place for us
You know the movie song
When you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong, Juliet?
And a lovestruck Romeo, he sings the streets a serenade
Laying everybody low with a love song that he made
Finds a convenient streetlight, steps out of the shade
And says something like "You and me, babe, how 'bout it?
You and me, babe, how 'bout it..."
Shiny Happy People.
R.E.M (with Kate Pierson) Alubm: Out of Time
Shiny happy people laughing
Meet me in the crowd
People people
Throw your love around
Love me love me
Take it into town
Happy happy
Put it in the ground
Where the flowers grow
Gold and silver shine
Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing
Everyone around love them, love them
Put it in your hands
Take it take it
There's no time to cry
Happy happy
Put it in your heart
Where tomorrow shines
Gold and silver shine
Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing

"MY" Adam Sandler joke version.
Unknown origin, I got it in an e-mail form a friend.(HI Kevin ;)
A recent Scottish immigrant to the U.S. attends his first baseball game. After a base hit, he hears the fans roaring "Run... run-" The next batter connects heavily with the ball and the Scotsman stands up and roars with the crowd in his thick accent: "R-r-r-un yah bahstard. R-r-run-"
A third batter slams a hit and again the Scotsman, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screams "r-r-r-un ya bahstard, r-r-run will ya."
The next batter's count goes up to three and two. As the pitch crosses past outside the plate, he holds his swing. The umpire calls a walk the Scotsman stands up yelling "r-r-r-un ya bahstard, r-r-run-".
All the surrounding fans giggle quietly and he sits
down, confused. A friendly fan, sensing his embarrassment, whispers
"He doesn't have to run, he's got four balls." After this
explanation the Scotsman stands up in disbelief and screams, "Walk PR-R-ROUD, man- Walk Proud-"

Redhooded sweatshirt.
My mom bought you when I was just thirteen
The brightest red sweatshirt that I'd ever seen
She got you extra-large so I wouldn't grow out
"That's too big for you!" the other children would shout
But we stick together, we didn't quit
And now the children say "What a perfect fit!"
I love you sweatshirt
Red-hooded sweatshirt
(Dip-Dip-Dip) sweatshirt
(Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong) sweatshirt
Oh like to rest my hands in your kangaroo pouch
It makes me feel comfy, like a big soft couch
And I don't care if the weather's no good
I say, "See you later" and pull up my hood
Remember that long bus trip when I needed a nap
I used you as a pillow on that Spanish lady's lap
I love you sweatshirt
Red-hooded sweatshirt
(Dip-Dip-Dip) sweatshirt
(Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong) sweatshirt
Oh what is it about you that makes me so jolly
Is it your fifty cotton or your fifty poly
I don't know, oh-oh-oh-oh
ooooo-oooooo-oooooooooo......
Spoken:
Oh red hooded sweatshirt, we've been through a lot together
Like that time I played in that shirts and skins basketball game
And I had to take you off and throw you in the corner of the gym
I was midway through the game and then I saw you looking at me
As if to say "Adam, you suck at basketball.
You dribble like a damn woman."
I was so mad I challenged you to a game of one on one
And you know, sweatshirt, even though I beat you 11-9
Deep in my soul I know you missed those layups on purpose
You let me win!
And that's why...Help me out Kevin
I love you sweatshirt
Red hooded sweatshirt
(Dip-Dip-Dip) sweatshirt
