Photo Tours
Add breathtaking photos of the rarest and most elusive wild cats in the
world. Try to find a stock agency with images of Ocelots, Jungle Cats, Margays,
Geoffrey's Cats, Amurian Leopard Cats, or Clouded Leopards. Biologists spend
years, sometimes even decades in tropical jungles only to catch a glimpse of one
of these creatures. If you don't have that kind of time to wait for a shot,
then you won't want to miss this photo opportunity. A special rain forest has
been recreated as a backdrop in which to capture these cats on film. A one acre
Tiger pen has been constructed out into a lake so that you can photograph two
magnificent Tigers swimming, playing, and lounging on the water's edge. Serval
pens also have been built out in the water so that you can catch them fishing in
the reeds as they would in their native Africa. South American Cougars (similar
to the Florida Panther in size and appearance) can be filmed in natural palmetto
and oak forest settings. Asian Leopards, both spotted and black can be filmed
separately or together in lush foliage or hanging in trees. Siberian Lynx and
Canadian Lynx live in enormous, vividly green, landscaped enclosures. Northern
Bobcats, so tame they jump up on your shoulders while you're trying to focus
live in a wooded and naturally green pen full of priceless shots of Bobcats
doing Bobcat things, like sneaking through high grass, climbing trees and
lounging in the shade. Southern Bobcats, rarely photographed in the wild, can
be "shot" in ferns, and other tropically designed habitats. Caracals,
Eurasian Lynx, and Lions can be found in beautiful surroundings. Cubs such as
Tigers, Ocelots, Leopards, Servals, Lions, Bobcats, and Lynx can be photographed
in "nests" and have been raised in the house, making them
exceptionally easy and reliable to work with.
We never use chains, wires, starvation or punishment of any kind to coerce
our cats for a shoot. We coax them into spectacular poses with toys, treats,
and soft spoken requests. The well being of our animals come first and because
of this you will find that these cats are in superior form. The pens are large
enough that they receive plenty of exercise and are not obese. We maintain a
vigorous veterinary schedule so that the cats are always sleek and energetic.
You will have an experienced handler with you for your protection and to help
position the cats for the best light and background. The photo tours have the
highest potential for providing the very best for our cats and because of that
we go out of our way to make sure that you have not only the time of your life,
but also highly prized images that you can't find anywhere else. We are amateur
photographers ourselves and understand the importance of lighting, scenery, and
the very essence of the feline mood. To the best of our ability we will provide
you with all the components to create a memorable moment in time.
We are new at this and do not yet have the perfect photo pen for each
species, however, we have attached the tropical rain forest to an
air-conditioned mobile home, with outdoor patios for each of the equatorial cats
(except for the Clouded Leopard) so that they can be easily moved into and out
of the adjoining photo area. Leopards, Tigers, Lions, Cougars, Bobcats,
Eurasian Lynx, Canadian Lynx, Servals, and Caracals can be filmed in their own
natural pens. As more people take advantage of the photo tours the more
luxuriant and spacious the pens become. We cater to small groups of one to four
individuals and we can pick you up at Tampa International Airport and take you
back if you like.
