Songs and Stuff

My roommate is Gayleen Froese, an independent musician up here in Canada.  She has an album out called Obituary, and another one just released in February which is called Chimera.  Both of them are chock full of fan-fic goodness.

She's one of our major contributors here, so I decided I may as well point the fans in the direction of her music.  I am really pretty sure that many of you will really really love her stuff, and it can't hurt her career any to give her this publicity.  And those of you with roommates know one thing.  If  your roommate is happy, it sure makes your life go smoothly.  :)

Her first video is for the song Finding, a song she wrote during the long hiatus between Blair's death, and his subsequent resurrection.  It's from Jim's p.o.v., and is understandably pretty bleak.  It's also gorgeous.
    There are two versions:

Finding-- (548 k)  This should be a tolerable download for anybody...
Finding-- (3 M)  Most likely for cable modems only, but...if you want to try, it is the prettiest one.

I  seriously recommend taking a look at these, but do understand, this is a work in progress which she has leaked to me before its official release, and it's waaay
compressed even at the 3 meg size...

Here are some clips from her songs, as well (picked for fan content).

Ascension  (this song is about the X-Files, the episode of the same name)
Son of My Right Hand (about Batman and Robin and their happy family)
Haunt (A song about Miss Parker of  The Pretender)
Stigma (Sentinel inspired.  A song from Blair's p.o.v.)
Finding (the song made into the video just up there)
Snow Globe (another song from the Pretender...by Jarod, about Jarod)
Chlorine (spoilers for The Sentinel's final episode....)

There are clips from the rest of her songs on her fan page, go on and take a listen.  They are virtually all inspired by movies, TV shows, or Role-playing games she loves.

Lyrics for the songs above can be found on the respective fic pages on this site...

Once again, the fan site is called Rabid Following, and it will tell you all you need to know.  Click on the name to go direct.

Seriously. Go.  I mean it.  You'll be glad.
