Monday May 10th
I spent last week warming up to enter the ring by shouting it out five times a day. Boy did that get the spirit up! I was ready to go today and quickly worked on making some new friends. I dropped in on a lot of Site Fighters and signed their guest books and I made a few trips to the vote exchange. I've surfed and surfed and made all types of new friends. I even picked up this Spirit Flower that will grow in time. Hopefully I'll still be in the ring when it blooms. Who knew fighting could be so much fun!

My mail box has been full of
vote exchange requests and I am trying to get to them all. I don't vote blindly, so I am
taking the time to look at everyone's sites. It's so nice to see so much out there.
Usually I only surf a lot of the bear sites (for those that don't know, I design teddy
bears) so it is nice to take a look at other's hobbies and interests.
I'm trying to get my supporter's page updated, but Geocities has not been the most
cooperative lately and the pollen counts are extremely high right now so allergies have
got me down. I'll get everyone's banners up soon. Thanks to everyone for their
support and special thanks to all the Fairys and Wee One's for all the encouragement!
Voting is going great and I've done well in the first three days and plan to keep
shouting it out.
DHunnypot Heros team closed and I am now a member of DAngelWing Flyers. The good news is that I made it through the first round and I will be transferring to the semi-finals for DangelWing Flyers in the White Clouds round.
My mailbox was full of gifts and banners today along with a spirit page award. Thanks Lady Lavender and the Realm of the Fairies! I better get back to work updating my site and get ready for the upcoming week. Looks like we have lots of new fighters, so everyone get out there and sign those guestbooks, shout it out five times a day, and vote, vote, vote!
Day three of the semi-final round and going strong. I've been out voting, shouting and visiting a lot of sites, not to mention the vote exchange. Anne's Angel Place is the first site from DAngelWing Flyers to make it to the Warzone. Stop by her site and say hello. I know she visits lots of sites! Speaking of visiting sites, my son has a new found favorite site from the Site Fights - Pokemonia. Check them out and be sure to see the Dancing Pikachu Page. Sunday May 23rd
It was a close fight in the White Clouds round and I lost by one point :-( I'll be there again in the coming week. No cheer page yet since I had to attend to some family and business obligations. Hopefully I will get to it soon.
It's been a long week of exchanging votes after losing a lot of supporters earlier in the week. A lot of fighters dropped out since their vote exchangers really weren't voting. I spent a lot of time at the vote exchange and checking out everyone's sites. Looks like it is paying off as I have all tens so far this week. Looks like I'll make it to the Warzone on Monday!

Well, here I am in the Warzone. Kind of scary out there with those other teams. I'll just give it my best shot. Off to a really rotten start today since I had to go to the zoo with my son's school and it was in the mid 90's. Home with a terrible migraine, but my votes are all in for today. Guess I'll know more tomorrow when scores are posted.
Saturday June 12th
the big surprise came today when I opened my mail to find the message from DSpirit to say that I was awarded the Most Spirited Fighter of the week award. To me this is better than winning at the Dome (although those prizes are nice) because it exemplifies what the Site Fights are about. I'm really honored by what the Wee Ones and Fairies that nominated me had to say. The internet has opened up such a global community where people can express themselves, come together to meet others with common interests, or just plain have someone to talk to. We all put a little of ourselves into our sites and hope that the people that visit them will like them and want to come back for more. It's always nice to get some type of confirmation that you are doing something worthwhile. Of course, as the sayings go, tis better to give than to receive, what comes around goes around, etc. I guess I've always been the giving type because if you have ventured into some of the links listed in my little bio on my main page, you would know that a good part of my time is spent volunteering for a kids' charity and I have a son with a terminal disease. I put a lot of things ahead of my own work because of the overall impact they have on things and I know that my contribution makes a big difference in many ways to many people. This site at Geocities is my fun time and my outlet. I've always tried to help people who are looking for images or need help with their sites. I try to answer the calls for help from the fighters with computer problems or problems with their site, sign guestbooks to let people know that something in their site touched me, or drop a note off to someone who is having a bad day. I know that a lot of people here at the Site Fights have been good to me and I try to spread that on to others. After all, it's those little things that add up and make us all better people. Just think what the cummulative impact of that would be if it could spread to the rest of the world!
Saturday June 19th
I’ve been tossed a beach ball for the second time this week. Guess everyone wants me to spend the summer down under playing with the Wombats. They gave me plenty of sunscreen at least. The big news so far this week is that I bailed Candi out of jail - thanks Bail Officer Solar Panda. It's been a great week in the Stairs and looks like I'll be going back to the Arch on Monday. In the meantime, it's time to do some planting as I've received a lot of spirit flowers this week.
