Wolf: Giver of strength and wisdom
living in solitude, in the forest kingdom.
was used in ancient times to produce picturesque quilts.
A foundation base, having been discovered in old worn -out
quilts, brought a renewed awareness to the art. One of its
unique characteristics is that it allows the designer to create
with unlimited imagination. Reproducing the beauty of nature
on quilts, to be enjoyed year around, is the uniqueness that it
has allowed me to discover with-in myself.
Imagine eagles soaring in an open sky, or a quilt of symmetric
roses, that actually form a vivid "S" pattern through out the quilt.
Clusters of grapes and roses twined together as they do in
nature. Tulip blocks and with-in each block four tulips in their
complimentary hues. An apple quilt or a colorful fruit display
consisting of apples, oranges, grapes and pears. The four playing
suits: hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades , each arranged in
single blocks and the fifth block having all 4 suits layered with-in.
Snow flakes, in one or many hues, glistening against a dark toned
background. An Egyptian vase design displayed in three neutral
hues, white, grey and black. Pine trees that reflect the light
hitting one side, the toned down middle and the dark shaded
side. The illusion of a Persian rug done in grey progression hues.
A border of rose buds to be used for any decor.
Enjoy learning how to create beautiful mirrored image quilts by
following the pictured illustrations and written instructions.
Another characteristic of the art is in the simple way that it goes
together. All pieces are joined by sewing a single straight line.
Next by adding all of the pieces in one section in numerical order
and then joining the finished sections in alphabetical order. The
pattern is designed on a foundation base which usually consist of
plain paper. It can be copied by hand or by a copy machine onto
light weight fabric, interfacing or soft paper, giving you a choice
to experiment and choose the one that you prefer for any given
project.
Enjoy experimenting with fabric choices and placement of blocks
to put your own individual touch on quilts.

Dedication to Nature
She surrounds us with all her glory
giving us her children of creation,
telling us her wonderful story
of all its beauty and sensation.
From the beginning of time
when she came with thunder crash'n
she showed us her strongest sign
letting us know , this is her fashion.
Yet she has a softer caressing side
that she lets us feel when needed
For this side of her she doesn't hide
because in her , it is deeply seeded
Like a mother she sings to her children
with the warm soft caress of the wind
letting them know ,she loves them forever in
all their beauty and glory from within.
From the harshest winters to the softest summer breeze
she tells us her story of the never ending cycle of solitude
Hoping we will see in the deepest winter freeze
that it is not the end of life but the beginning, in all its magnitude.
