Because I have nothing original to do with a web page I am using this space to give people access to some of the things that I like and to let them gripe about things that annoy them. While "the net" does not really need yet another site like that, it needs another "here is some personal information gathered in an electronic monument to myself as I flatter myself that all the world wants to read about me" page even less. You may submit a gripe if you like.
This sounds anally retentive (because it is), but please link to the index page so the hit gets counted. It actually does matter. Of course, I flatter myself to think that anyone will even visit much less make a link here.

The pages herein may be bad, but at least they are all really mine: I did them all by hand using what little HTML I know. I did not use any special editors or page makers. I did not even use the GeoCities Basic HTML Editor. All those things are cheating devices designed to help people who should never have pages make decent-looking ones (though they usually help those people make hideous ones). Whether I should have a page or not is a matter of some small debate, at least I deserve one for knowing how to make one myself.
I have decided to share my experiences with cheap scotch.
Because
GeoCities
has
a
silly
rule
that
says
I
must
have
a
link
to
anything
in
my
directory
--even
"developing"
pages
(or
else
they
are
"invisible"
and
subject
me
to
deletion)--
here
are
links
to
pages
that
are
not
finished
or
that
I
use
for
making
new
pages:
a
blank
page
a
readme
file
for
software
that
isn't
done
yet
a
quick-reference
page
for
HTML
that
I
wrote
for
someone
else.

I've begun to diagram my apartment network, so you can have a sneak preview of the not-quite-done page.
