TEEN
Just A Kid
In my youth
Always keeping something hid
Never telling the truth
I am always wrong
I know nothing at all
Sucking on a bong
Staying High to avoid it all
Least that is what they say
I know I am strong
I may not know the way
But I know they are wrong
There are many paths I can take
Different ways to go
My lives at stake
I’m going to take it slow
I’ve read every sign
At every fork in the road
I try never to fall for a line
I try to pull my own load
No matter what I say or do
It will never be enough
Maybe your wondering who
Is making life so rough
The answer is not new
The answer is not tuff
Its the scared calling the boys in blue
They think we should all be in cuffs
It really is not fair
They treat us so mean
They will always feel some scare
As long as there are teens
I’m sick of being thrown down
I’m taking it in my hands
On the ground my foot will pound
Now I’m taking a stand
Like most other boys
I just want to win
We only make enough noise
To become Men
