[ 4:38am ct 3/18/2005 ] March 18, 2005 Senate of the United States Capital Building Washington, D.C. Dear Senator: Subject: Extreme Local Police Harassment and Stalking in Fort Worth, Texas I am truly sorry to bother you by writing to your personal email addresses, since I know you all are truly extremely busy with the work you do in the U. S. Senate. But police harassments and abuses are so much worse for the whole country now, and for me as well. During the Clinton administration, they freely gave an open line "fax" to " their" Justice Department, which I used very often. But there is no other way to reach persons in the United States government with this President in office. They are not interested in the abuse of ordinary persons. If the were, they would not have taken away the means to contact the Justice Department directly. Also, you as members of the Senate, I hope, you still are interested in what really goes on out here in the rest of America. This is just my small attempt to help that process a little, and hopefully help myself be free of police abuse. After a few weeks of "freedom" from fear of more local police harrasments, these following are only the "most severe" incidences that have occured which I think deserve your attention: 1. Immediately after my mother's burial at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas, between 4:30pm and 4:45pm ct on Friday February 25, 2005, an UNKNOWN Police Officer on a Police Motorcycle "deliberately" prevented our "funeral" car from letting us leave the cememtery and enter Sylvania Avenue at that point. Once we left the cemetery, the same UNKNOWN Officer (a white male, about 50 years old with "Hitler-Styled" mustache) kept driving his motorcycle in front our "funeral" car from the cemetery to the first street intersection at Sylvania and 28th streets, about 1/4 miles from Mount Olivet Cemetery here in Fort Worth. He again "deliberately" prevented our "funeral" car from making a right-hand turn East and back toward or home, untill the red light changed from red to green, and then he suddenly turned into the gasoline station there, at the intersection, and drove quickly back in the direction of the cemetery. We in our "funeral" car, were finally free of his harassment and allowed to return home; except that as we drove within less than a mile from our home, as we approached a "Sonic Drive-In" restaraunt at the intersection of highway 377 and Webster Street, a Haltom City (Texas) Police Officer also on a motorcycle "also" drove in a dangerous way, between a car in front of us and our "funeral car", and across the front of our "funeral" car traveling from our right (his left), across four lanes of busy automobile traffic, and then South away from us, on highway 377. We finally arrived safely at our home at 5425 Mallory Drive, Haltom City, Texas, at about 5:00pm. 2. Last night, Thursday March 17, 2005, as I was driving home from a "Walgreens" pharmacy where I had just bought a birthday card for my father, I drove "very carefully" South onto highway 377 from New Bursey Road, and as I "always" am looking for any nearby police cars, I saw none, and I proceeded south on 377. About 100 yards from the intersection of Hightower Road and 377, out of nowhere, on my left side, a Watauga City (Texas) police car appeared, traveling at about 50 mph (speed limit is only 45 there), and only "after" he pulled one car length "ahead" of me, he immediately began an old police manuever in slowing down, to move in behind me. But as all the cars (and there were many) were slowing down as they approached the intersection with a red light, this UNKNOWN Watauga police officer kept slowing, and slowing, with "no" other person within several car lengths in front of him. As he would slow down, I, driving more than one car length behind his, slowed to "match" his speed, so as to prevent his obvious attempt to get behind me. Finally, he simply "stopped" completely, in the center lane of a major 6 lane highway, with literally about a hundred cars all driving around him, driving at least 50 mph. At that point, "I", fearing a major traffic accident (very frequent there), finally decided to let this UNKNOWN Watauga Police Officer drive in behind me, "dodging" many other cars as he did this.He stayed behind me for up to 5 minutes, during which time I used a "cell" phone to call my father at home, to let him know what was happening. The time at this point was exactly 7:09pm ct. After the light changed to green at the intersection of Chapman Road and 377, this Officer turned on his emrgency lights, and I pulled over as safely as I could, considering the 50 mph traffic there. He got out, walked up to my car (a dark blue 1986 Chrys;er Fithe Avenue) and stayed "behind me" at all times. Then he demanded to see my driver's license, which I gave hime. Then he demanded my car insurance paper, which I also gave him. He walked back to his police car, stayed in there almost 10 minutes, while I continued to talk to my father on the cell phone. Finally he walked back, and said: "Well....this is just a 'courtesy call. I just want to tell you your front light is out." I said "I really appreciate that." Then he walked back to his police car, turned off his "emergency lights, and I drove away to an "O'Reilly's Auto Parts" store, where I quickly replaced the burned out light. The time I left the "crime scene" was exactly 7:19pm. I must say here, that "everyday", for 8 years now, I always check my "turn-signal" lights and my "front and rear lights", before I ever leave home. This proceedure is necessary to protect me from these kinds of harrasments since 1997. But living here in Texas, when I left home, it was "still" broad-daylight, and so I didn't check my "head lamps". I expect a dramatic "increase" in such acts of abuse in the near future, since this is "always" the pattern. Therefore, I ask you to please investigate these police officers if possible, and please give me protection from them as soon as possible. They are a "constant" threat, and they will not stop untill or unless they themselves are stopped and arrested for their crimes. Most Sincerly, Michael Lynn Mincy 5425 Mallory Drive Fort Worth, Texas 76117 phone: 817 834 6744 817 834 4419 email: mmincy@aol.com [ 5:30am ct 3/18/2005 ]
