Our History
Techniscribes Inc. has offered the most versatile and affordable technical writing services in Southern Ontario since January 2004.  It has grown from its humble beginnings as a cramped home office to a full-fledged home business.

After graduating from Humber College's technical writing program, Carolyn Uhm gained valuable writing experience at many companies like Abilities York Region. Her unique combination of experience in the business world as well as the non profit sector, serves her clients well.

Our Mission

Quality & Affordability

We provide fast, high quality service at reasonable prices.  We have flexible pricing options like paying per project instead of per hour.  So you only pay for the time actually used.  We take pride in our work and believe in the personal touch.

Convenience

We can travel to your place of business within Southern Ontario and other parts of the province by request. If distance is a problem, we can communicate by telephone, fax, e-mail, or videoconferencing.

Customer Satisfaction

We care about you and our work and we will update you about your project as often as you want.  If you are not happy with the end product, we will redo it at no extra charge.

We listen. Every client is unique, with different needs. We listen to you and understand what you want.

#1 in Client Satisfaction. Repeat clients and referrals account for about 80 percent of our yearly business.
We will do whatever it takes to make you completely satisfied. We cost less than the competition but that doesn’t mean we skimp on quality.

Our Achievements
We have created many different documents for various companies and individuals.  We are a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau of Southern Ontario ( BBB) as well as a three-time recipient of Human Resources Development Canada's Women's Entrepreneurship Grant Program (WEG).  We also belong to the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and the Canadian Association for Small Businesses (CSAB).
