Gidget And Kacy

Sisters Together                                                Let Us In!                                                   Taking a nap

Of course, the current pets Gidget and Kacy. They are a joy to have around (yes, even when they are a pain), and they are great friends. There's nothing more special then a dog. Their loyalty, affection, undying love and trust. It's a very special thing to experience.

Gone, But Not Forgotten

Mynx And Tiger

Tiger!                                                 Mynx!                                              I'm Thirsty!!!!

Though dogs are, to me, the best pets, certain cats can also capture your heart. Both of these did just that. The first cat I ever had was Mynx. He was the best. A very friendly cat who I had before Gidget. I also picked him up at work when he was about a month old. Even when I brought home Gidget, he was cool. Just checked Gidget out for a while, then accepted her as if nothing was different. He and Gidget got along great, they played, shared food and there was never a problem between them. Unfortunately, shortly after I moved where I am now, Mynx left one night and never came back. I can only hope he found a great home and is safe. The door is always open for you Mynxster. You're missed terribly.

Tiger was a transplant from up North. He needed a new home and he was welcomed here. Although he was a bit nervous about Gidget for a while, he soon adapted pretty good and seemed to enjoy himself. He had an interesting way of taking a drink, as you can see from the picture above. He was with us for a short time, when as with Mynx, he left one night and was never seen again. I hope he too found a good home and is safe. And he too is welcome back anytime he wishes.

In closing, please remember that pets are very special, and we as humans have a responsibility to take care of them, love them, keep them safe, provide them a home, food and water. They look to us for guidance, protection, love, companionship and they ask very little. So please, please take care of them.
