WELCOME TO MELDY'S HOME
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 44 year old married mother of 2. I live in one of the Eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am very involved in my childrens sports, my son who is now 13, plays midget football and is a pretty good wrestler in our school district. My daughter, who is 16, is on the bowling team for school. Now I spend my spare time running from practice to practice and tournament to tournament.
I met my husband in 1981 while on vacation in Washington DC. He was working for a travelling carnival and the temptation to "run away" from reality was overwhelming. So I did!! We travelled for 3 years and finally settled in a small town called Irmo, just outside Columbia, South Carolina. Our daughter was born there. Wanting to be closer to family, we moved to Pittsburgh when she was a month old.
We found a small house in a small town about 30 miles West of Pittsburgh and stayed there long enough for our son to be born. Wanting to be around old friends, we bought a house in Swissvale, where I was raised, and have been here ever since.
I started a small baking business that has grown incredibly over the years. I take great pride in the cakes that I make and have posted a few (haha) pics of them. If you want to see them

There is one person who is responsible for teaching me everything I know about the internet and my pc, without him, I would still be sitting in front of my tv, swearing at the WebTV. Thanks Jer... I love ya!!
