(L-R) Our niece Natalie, JP, and my daughter Kendall in February 1997.  Much happier times.

My friend JP died on July 25, 1999 of a heroin overdose.  He was only 21 years old.  He had tried heroin before but was not a serious user.  He did it that night with two other people, those two woke up while JP did not.  I miss him desperately and I am trying to figure out what to do to prevent this from happening to someone else.  I made this webpage to remember JP and give and receive information about this problem.

Please contact me with your thoughts.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has also suffered a loss.  My email address is:  evelyn_mae@hotmail.com
I'd love to hear from you.

I need your help to add good links to this page.  Let me know of any suggestions you may have.

Here are some links I have found that really helped me understand some of what happened.

Ourwall - A memorial page for our friends and family we lost to heroin.

NCADI-"Quick Docs" on Heroin

Ross's page - An addicts story

An Angel Page

This link is for anyone who has ever lost someone they love.

We think of you in silence
And often speak your name
But all that's left to answer
Is your picture in a frame.
If we could have one lifetime wish,
One dream that would come true,
We would pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and you!
If tears could build a stairway
And heartaches make a lane,
We would walk our way to Heaven
To be with you again!

I will love you and remember you always JP!
