Our thanks to those of you who have left words of encouragement. It is good to know our society has not become completely desensitized. This truly is, as one individual expounds, "a Society issue". We must evaluate our priorities. Clearly, not "one" specific, but many circumstance, contribute to this incident. |
Whether you believe in the Bible as a divine writing or just another book, it contains much food for thought. There are two particular pieces which come to mind: | ||
"...we war with the prince of the power of the air.." (Ephesians 2:2) | "You shall know my people because they love one another" (paraphrasing John 13:35) | Please forward this beautiful poem to others! It is my favorite. |
The Forbes Book Of Business Quotations is long in its list of quotes on love. |
Here are a few:
"Greater is he who acts from love than he who acts from fear." -Simeon Ben Eleazar "Into the world of fears and hatreds we need to put a double portion of the spirit of confidence in the power of love. Not peace at any price, but love at all cost. All our problems today resolve themselves into the problem of learning to live together." -Canon Peter Green "The bravest are the tenderest. The loving are the daring." -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow "Loving someone means helping them to be more themselves, which can be different from being what you'd like them to be, although often they turn out the same." -Merle Shain, "Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breath more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours." -Swedish Proverb "There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love." -Thornton Wilder |
