Beginning with most current update:
March 6th, 2004:
Its hard to believe its been almost 4 years since I have done anything with this site. I was getting a little rusty. Gave everything a "technical" face lift. Sized down some images now that I have the software to do it. cleared up broken links though not on the "graphic links" page. Picked some more available fonts. Made a new background for the entrance page. Fixed the Guestbook.
August 12th, 2000:
Goodness sakes I have been remiss in updating this part eh? I have added a bunch of new things. The tribute to Columbine High was added as it happened. Evetually I added a link "My Web Services" that tracks the web designs I have done for others. Some are volunteer. I added a few photos to the Epics page.. that is me, and reorganized it a little. Didn't know about tables when I first created it so it bugged me til I could put everthing in tables. Just seems more structured. Have realized I really like IE better than Netscape. Tried to keep an open mind but argh. even keeping things simple Netscape complains. Will still do my best to make sure everthing I do works in both tho. Also change the email links to my AOL address and will delete the Yahoo one. Too many emails to manage. LOL. Simplify, simplify, simplify.
April 19th, 1999:
Began work on the "graphics links" page. After spending the weekend researching tables. Whew ... mind blowing experience. Especially with the discovery of "style sheets". I really wish I could do this full time. You should check out this site.. quite the info on web page design. WDVL
February 16th, 1999:
Registered my page for free, at MSN LinkExchange ,free being the key word, LOL, with seven search engines. At the same place also learned about Meta tags and entered them on the entrance page. Hope to see more people visit now.
February 14th, 1999:
Once again I was on a mission... got more organized.. learned how to do the table on Epichome and found the beautiful art for the Entrance page and Epichome. Will make sure and get the proper credits up soon for the graphics and art. Lots soon to come. Poetry, Law enforcement, thoughts, stories, graphic links, other neat places etc. Gotta get cause its really late =)
November 22nd, 1998:
Gosh, I got a lot done since the last entry here. But I was so tired afterwards I didnt feel like updating this journal. whew! I learned how to use link buttons and created the Love poem page early in November. It was either right before that or right after that I added the midi for background sound. I didnt figure out how to add the player until later though. That was a irritating experience. I dont know about any other editors, but the editor in geocities doesnt bring the player up to see on "preview". duh! I spent about an hour trying to figure out why I was getting the image outline but not the image.
I figured out how to make "thumbnails". I know some of you out there are going well that is easy. I had not accidental happened upon anything about thumbnails. I only saw them on beautiful graphics pages, which made me feel like there is no way I was going to figure it out. But I did so that was pretty neat.
I joined the HTML writers guild. Its free for a year after that I think it is say 40.00 dollars per year. Just click the link and you can go read all about it.
The link to Jason was sent to me by a friend on ICQ. If you can, please go there and get the candle and put it on your page. It wont take very long. I have a 10 year old son and I cant imagine losing him later in life when he is just getting started.
Last but not least, my hero right now is Will Smith. I happened upon an interview of him on E online. I very much hope he and his wife make it a lifetime.
September 28th, 1998:
Check out the to my friend Michelle: The last few weeks have been spent learning about FTP, File Transfer Protocol and using subdirectories. Since my browser did not support the "browse" feature for uploading files to geocities I obtained a program called CUTEFTP. It works very well. Though some of the changes in my page are not very noticeable there has been significate work done from a file management perspective. Subdirectories were created to maintain pics, lines, etc. So path names had to be updated.
I am getting a computer at home this week so I will "hopefully" have more time to add all my new ideas in the next month or so. Links may get moved around but I will try not to delete any so you can find them again if need be. I hope to even add some sounds, of course more pics and links to stuff that have been found to be useful. Not just for homepage design but other things too.
September 2nd, 1998:
Ok I took the Photo album out ! It was simple but maybe too simple. I could not get it to bring up the pictures. There is a 3D photo cube to check out later. I WILL move forward :-D. OH, could someone let me know if the counter is working??????? Thanks!
It's Tuesday, September 1st, 1998: My FIRST day
Today was spent discovering this whole HOMEPAGE concept. At first it was a bit frustrating but I think I got the hang of it.
