Senses Out Of Order
My eyes weep for unseen smiles
My ears listen for unheard
voices
My nostrils tingle with unperfumed
scents
My tongue aches for unknown
sweetness
My fingers grope for unfelt
caresses
My bones break beneath the
weight of my untouched skin
My heart drowns in the mad
rushes of a bloodied river
My mind chases after runaway
dreams
And fleeting memories
of unexisting love.
I have been cheated of all
my senses
And allusions of blissfulness
Leave me feeling dry and withered
Like a long-forgotten rose
Between the pages of an old
diary
I have been ripped from my
roots
Left alone to gather my own
petals
One by one
A desperate attempt to bloom
Once again
In the light of my own sun
Nourish me
With your smile
Your voice
Your scent
Your kiss
Your touch
I will grow
When your love rains on my
sadness
When life is but a sense away...
