*NSYNC consists of five musically talented guys from all over the United States. The members are JustiN Randall Timberlake, James Lance "LansteN" Bass, Joseph "JoeY" Anthony Fatone Jr., Joshua Scott "JC" Chasez, and Christopher "ChriS" Alan Kirkpatrick. Their name comes from the last letter in their first name: JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, LansteN, and JC. Justin's mom was the creative master mind behind their name. *NSYNC began in 1995 and got a record deal with RCA Records in 1996. They first hit big in Germany in 1997, and brought their smash hits, "I Want You Back" and "Tearin' Up My Heart" to the United States and Canada in March 1998.
