It all started out with Chris. He went to high school and graduated from college in Orlando. He got a job at Universal Studios in Florida where he met Joey. Joey just graduated from high school and was working there too. Joey and JC already knew each other because when they both moved out they were introduced and became friends. Chris already knew Justin because of some auditions. Also, Chris knew JC but Joey never knew that until they all met at a club one night.
JC moved to Orlando, Florida to try out for the nineties version of the Mickey Mouse Club. He got the part and stayed on the show for about seven years. Then the show wanted to add some new members so Justin tried out. He got a part on the show and stayed on for two years until it got canceled. When the show was over Justin and JC kept in touch and still sang.
When Chris had the idea to form a group he called Justin. From there Justin called JC who then got in touch with Joey. Yet, they still needed a bass for the group. They tried getting Joey to be the bass but it did not work out. Justin did some research and called his old vocal coach and got Lance's phone number. They then called Lance up and asked him to sing. Lance flew out to Florida to meet the guys and the rest is history.

"The group started with Chris. Chris had the initial idea to put the group together. He called me because I had known him from some auditions. When I got the call I joined up with him. Then, I called JC and that is how we got JC in the group. Then we saw Joey at a club and we hit it off great and he immediately joined the group. We picked up Lance through the same vocal coach as me. So that is how we all formed the group. We put it together ourselves and I think that is something that has paid off in the long run because we were friends before we even got our management team and before we signed a record deal."
