Turning Thoughts Into Gold

Every day that I am with you is full of sunshine
And every day apart is dull and grey
When you are gone from my arms my heart aches
I miss you so very much
You enter my thoughts as often as my heart beats
You are always in my mind
I can see your face when I close my eyes
And your fragrance comes to me on the wind
I can hear your voice when the birds sing
Whispering softly I love you
And when I sleep I can feel you hold me
I feel the warmth of your love
Even though you are miles away
And if I had a nickel for every time I thought of you
I would be a very rich man indeed
But I cannot turn my thoughts of you into gold
And still I am the richest of them all
For you have given me your heart
And all its love inside
And that is all I really need
I love you

Changes

You and I
two people living
two separate lives
two hearts beating
two separate souls
two people seeking
one special love
two people finding
two tender hearts
two souls merging
one true love
us

Love Though The Ages

in a lifetime past so long ago
when dragons roamed the land
you were my fair maiden, my damsel in distress
And I was your knight in shining armor
we shared our souls and were as one
we live and laughed and loved
throughout what little earthly time we had
ever promising that our souls would meet
in a future lifetime down the road
to light anew the candle of love
that defines our very being
welcome home my fair maiden
oh how I have missed you

The Key

I was lost and could not find my way
aimlessly wandering with an emptiness deep inside
The sun never seemed to shine for me
My days were dull and grey
Then one day I stumbled upon a rusty old key
laying there all battered and bruised
I knelt down and picked it up
took it home and treated it with care
polishing it until it shone as new again
Somehow whenever I touched this key my spirits seemed to soar
It was as if it were trying to talk to me
trying to tell me something
the longer I held the key the more I wondered
what it could possibly open
then one day while I was walking
near the place where I had found the key
I spotted this girl looking lost and forlorn
it was as if she were searching
for something she had lost so long ago
I had seen her many times before
but only with a passing glance
Both of us too lost in our own despair
to really notice each other
I reached into my pocket fumbling for the key
finding it I placed it in my hand
and slowly extended it to her
opening it so that she could see the treasure
that was contained inside
As her eyes caught sight of that simple little key
that glistened and shone in all its glory
a magical transformation seemed to take hold of her
Her eyes danced with delight and a smile crossed her face
I opened my arms to her and she willingly entered
I placed my hand upon her heart
and at that very moment all the loneliness and despair
vanished from our hearts
This litte key had built a bridge
between our hearts and allowed them to share
the tenderness and love that had been locked inside
for so long , desperately hoping for release
We held each other tight as the glow
of a new love at long last found surrounded us
Brushing our lips tenderly across each others
we stood in the warmth and tenderness of our closeness
Arms wrapped tightly around each other
little tears of joy gently streaming from our eyes
Each of us knowing in our hearts that
this tiny little key once batterd and bruised
had opened up our hearts and allowed us to start
a magical journey that would take us
hand in hand down the path of true love
We kissed tenderly and as we looked up
the sun slowly broke through from behind a cloud
and bathed us in its light
The cloudiness had disappeared

I Shall Comfort You

I know that you have felt pain in your life
and the hurt is sometimes hard to bear
But my arms will protect you my love
and keep you safe and warm
My kisses will wash away your sorrow
when the memories you try to suppress can no longer be contained
I will hold you tight and love you
as you softly cry in my arms to ease your pain
I will be your rock that you can cling to
when the savage sea tosses you about
and you find yourself slowly sinking
I will be there to reach out my hand and pluck you
from the icy waters of your despair
I will let you cry softly until it's over
and gently kiss away your tears
I will tell you how much I love you
And if I had the power to change
what has happened in the past
I would wave my magic wand
so that all your pain would disappear
But I cannot change what has come before
God only knows I wish I could
All I can offer to you is my love
with a promise that together we can build
a world of our own in each others arms
One filled with love , tenderness, and kindness
A world that knows no pain
Come love me forever my love
and I will keep you safe and warm

Two Into One

Whenever we are in each others arms
it is impossible to find the boundary that defines
the separation of our selves
Our bodies merge into each other
and for you and I there is no beginning no end
We are of one heart , one mind , and one soul
lost in our own world of love
where the march of time stands still
My thoughts are your thoughts as yours are mine
each of us only desiring to satisfy the other
unconcerned for the necessity of our own pleasures
knowing full well in our hearts that
this unselfishness is the true key to pleasure
Because of this , each tender kiss we share
sends shivers of excitement coursing through our souls
bathing us in a feeling of pure happiness
and allowing our hearts to sing songs of love to each other
This merging of ourselves into a oneness of being
unleashes a stream of pleasure that quenches our every desire
and leads us down to a sea of love
where the waters run still and deep
and nary a ripple is found

My Need For You

Your love flows over me and stirs my soul
like the gentle drops from a summer rain
It nourishes me and feeds my very existence
and allows me to flourish and grow
It ignites the flame deep inside my soul
and quenches my every desire
It is the beacon when I am lost in a misty sea
that guides me to the safety of the shore
It is the light when all is dark
That illuminates the path ahead as I walk
It is the hand that comforts me
when life sometimes brings me down
It brings meaning and purpose to my life
and lets my heart sing songs of love
I need your love to sustain me
With it anything is possible
and I can overcome any obstacle in my path
Without it nothing is possible and I am lost
and shall surely wither away and die
like a dried up leaf that falls from the tree
when summer gives way to fall.

When I Knew

It is hard to say just when our love actually started
I cannot say what moment in time defines its beginning
but I do know that there will be no end
I can recall our first few moments together
when the hint of love filled the air
Both of us a little shy and uncertain
Neither of us really knowing if the feelings
that we felt for each other would grow stronger
But with every passing day we both knew
That what we felt in our hearts was true
Oh sure we had our moments of uncertainty
But they just seemed to strengthen our bonds
And as the days turned into months
We both knew that what we had was special
I guess if I had to pick a time when I knew
It would be the day that you did not call
I had been waiting to hear your sweet voice
and when the phone never rang I was heartbroken
I sat alone in the dark for hours that night
with an emptiness in my heart
and tears streaming from my eyes
At that moment I realized just what you meant to me
I needed you more than the air I breathe
I cried myself to sleep that night
Thinking I had lost you forever
When I awoke the next day I was miserable
I just could not get you out of my mind
I had never felt so lost and helpless
And just when life was at its bleakest moment
The phone rang and in a daze I answered it
and all i could hear was you
I never asked you why you didn't call
I was just so happy to hear your voice
And when I heard you whisper I love you
You never saw the tears of joy I cried
A weight had been lifted from my heart
And I sinply said I love you too
I guess for me that was the moment when I really knew
That I wanted you to share my life
And when we met later that week
And I held you in my arms
I could feel from your sweet kisses
That your heart felt the same as mine
And from that point on our love grew stronger every day
And all our uncertainties disappeared
We were ready to begin our lifelong journey
Walking side by side and hand in hand
Ready to face the world together as one

The Angel By My Side

With eyes so blue and softer than a summer sky
and a smile that could warm the coldest heart
You came into my life
I was captured
hopelessly lost in the soft glow of your charms
A willing prisoner of your love
I gave you the key to my heart
and entrusted it in your care
Allowing you and only you access to my inner soul
Sharing my hopes and dreams with you
for a lifetime of happiness together
I was at peace with my self
I had found my special love
Because God had sent me an angel
To love me and walk with me by my side
Who would stand by me in times of darkness
And weather any storm we encountered
And who would walk to the ends of the earth
Willingly without a question in her heart
If she knew that I was in danger
Just to be with me by my side

The Morning Sun

The morning sun rises softly beyond a misty mountain
and bestows its kiss upon the flowers below
They spread their tiny petals willingly
accepting the warmth that nourishes their souls

I am the flower
you are the sun
