Okay, so you're thinking this is probably a page devoted to Formula 1. You clicked and the first thing you noticed was the German flag in the top corner, reading on you soon discover that unlike a large proportion of the British people I am not a fan of Damon Hill or most other British drivers. Why? I hear you all cry. Well basically when it comes to sport I'm not very patriotic, so shoot me! I don't care, 'cos I support the best driver in the current World Championship!
How did this passion start?
Well there I was one sunday afternoon back in 1991 with nothing to do (actually I probably had some homework to finish!) and I was channel hopping. (Okay so I only had four channels to flick through, but at high speed it could look like loads!!) Anyway as I flicked onto BBC 1, I kinda got interested in the cars that were leaving the pits for the grid, and the name Nigel Mansell was uttered. Of course I had heard of Mansell, Senna, Prost and Piquet, so I thought I'd watch what happens! Any way my attention wasn't captivated by the top drivers but by a young German making his Formula 1 debut. You see, I was watching the Belgium Grand Prix of 1991, and that's where Michael started in a Jordan. I don't remember the outcome of the race, but I was determined to watch more!
My friends tease me about this and I do get wound up, but hey got have something to do with my life! At least I support a good driver, rather than one whose nationality I share!
I'm not just a Michael Schumacher fan! If you check out the web sites listed below, you'll see the McLaren site listed. Mainly 'cos I happen to like David Coulthard.
Other favourites include Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine and Ralf Schumacher!
