Did You Know...

When Meg Matthews (pre-marriage to Noel) first heard the Mike Flowers Pops version of "Wonderwall" on Radio One, the DJ joked that it was the "original version." So she phoned Noel in Canada in the wee hours of the morning and says, "You wrote that song Wonderwall? You wrote it about me? No, you didn't, you lying thing, 'cos I've got the original here!" When she played it over the phone for him, Noel, in his "derranged state, started thinking, 'Well... maybe.'" But he quickly snapped out of it and while Meg was going on about "You wrote it for me, eh?!," Noel defended himself: "I did, babe! Honest!"
