Who is Stefan Dardik?

I have been a psychic since childhood. This is no great claim since I believe everyone is psychic. What is a psychic? Someone pocessed of certain mental abilities or training that perceives or creates non-causal events. What kind of events? Telepathy, telekinesis, image telepathy , remote viewing long ago called ‘far seeing’, astral travel , and many others I will leave unnamed.

The above mentioned I have experienced to my satisfaction that they exist. I know psychology would likely explain away my experiences as delusion , self hypnosis , or some odd mental state. If you peruse such knowledge long enough - their explanations begin to sound like the swamp gas theory of flying saucers. Can psychic power be proven? Psychic power is difficult to prove although Dr Rhine and others felt they proved it to their satisfaction. Even many psychotherapists have written of telepathic events with their patients. The problem with proof is scientific method requires repetition and that is a large problem. Does one require a athlete who just broke the world record to repeat it - something he may never do again. In fact research has a term - Psi-Burn, the more you test psychics the worse the test results get until you get results far worse than one would have received by mere guessing. This itself is considered evidence of a psychic effect.

I chose to study the occult and psychic science as a child because I wanted to know about these strange things that would happen sometimes without my willing it and sometimes in willful experimentation. In a waking state I have looked down at my body while in astral form. I have called on forces to turn off a light - but I found myself startled when the light switch turned itself off! I don’t know what I expected - the bulb to explode or go dead or perhaps nothing. I know many will believe these only stories or that perhaps I am not quite right in the head. I can only say go check it out for yourself. I did.

These experiments and random events brought me no joy but more questions and disbelief of others. How would you like to meet a real psychic who could read thoughts or emotions - urges - sense things you have no desire to share. So I learned to shut it off. I learned to build walls. As time went by I stopped experimentation and the walls got thicker. At the age of 6 I asked my mother,”How do you stop voices in your head?” For many nights while trying to sleep - there was a crowd of murmuring voices in my head resulting in poor sleep. My mothers answer? “You just do.” What did I do? I lay down on my bed - me the little 6 year old child and I visualized encasing my brain in steel all around then in brick.. Whatever the cause - my visualization solved my problem - my sleep was no longer disturbed by psychic static real or imagined. This was the first wall. I have a degree in psychology and I realize there are alternate explanations for all I have said but after looking at both sides I decided there was to much muck in psychological theories. I do believe parapsychology will one day unlock many of these mysteries that elude modern science.

Eventually I returned to experimentation and found my abilities weakened from their high from age 5 to 19 years old. Time, lack of practice, and mundane concerns of school and work all drew me away from inner exploration. I suspect this is normal and common. I still consider such meditation and psychic work a personal thing and dangerous to people who are unstable or unprepared for what might occur.

Then in 1985 I became curious who were all these people who claimed psychic powers. Some had TV specials like Uri Geller and other psychic entertainers. Well I discovered just that - they were entertainers. Some claiming their powers as real and some disclaiming such powers. I began a new study of how such things were done. I learned the secrets of creating man made miracles - not psychic miracles. I can tell you there is not much a real psychic could do that could not be duplicated under the right conditions by an expert of such things.

In the end I was drawn to spirit magic and the magic of the seance room. Such entertainment while trickery always holds the promise of an unexpected real miracle- while those in attendance will behold many miracles real or manufactured. I present the seance as a re-enactment of a Houdini era seance - a popular entertainment since Victorian times. I am prepared - no psychic stress - no doubts that nothing will happen - no real danger and happy customers that behold incredible events live and not on some TV set.

I was a member of Jeff Mcbrides ‘Mystery School’, unfortunately this was about the time I became ill although I didn’t know for some time I was suffering from severe diabetes. Even still I made the newspapers for Tibetan mind-body control of pain by piercing my tongue with a large skewer. The picture of me here dates from that night. While living in Santa Fe attending college about 25 years ago, I studied some local ghosts which the town seems to have in plenty. I also did my first biofeedback work that would assist me in my mind - body control experiments. My family Dardik originated in the Ukraine and the family has carried a few legends and stories for over a 150 years about our descent from another wonder worker and speaker to spirits , the Baal Shem Tov. I can trace the stories back to my great great grandmother Peshe born in the 1840’s and then the genealogy gets murky and unsure. Finally I give lectures on self evolution , ghosts , and related subjects. I have given many seances and demonstrated certain mind-body control and psychic experiments.

I have traveled the world and ever sought out ancient and holy places. The Dome of the Rock, Stonehenge, the Vatican, the temples and pyramids of Egypt have all felt the tread of my feet. Even though these journey’s did supply some mystical experiences - the greatest journey - the greatest mental growth and peace lies inside our own minds. The ancient wisemen knew this.
