STAR WARS

Found the Star Wars page you have....yes...strong with the force you are...

Long Live Star Wars!!!!!

I grew up watching sci-fi and monster movies, but none had an affect like Star Wars did. I don't really know why the trilogy became my favorite. Could it be because of all the different creatures and worlds I had never seen? Could it have been the amazing special effects? Or how about the wonderful characters and the simple plot of good verses evil? It could be a combination of all these things. All I know is it captured my imagination and has brought me hours of entertainment.

BOBA FETT

One of my favorite characters is a bounty hunter named Boba Fett. He has got to be the coolest bounty hunter ever. Over the years this character has gained quite a cult following for being a bad guy. I think part of the reason for liking him is the look of the suit. He also has a awesome ship called the Slave 1 and many cool gadets to help him in his line of work. Another thing that helps make him a favorite is nobody knows what he looks like under the mask. Plus his background is unknown. The man is a mystery. I recently got to meet Jeremy Bullock, the man who played Boba. He was very nice and said he would love to play the role again if he was asked. He said Boba might be in the prequeals towards the end. *Crossing fingers* Please let this be so.

HAN SOLO

Han Solo is another of my favs. He always throws his views in on things, is cocky, and has some great one liners. I love it when he gets that conceited smirk of his face...that is classic. In my opinion, he is alot better than Luke. Luke whines way too much in Star Wars. During the re-release, people were lauging at Luke's whining about not getting his way. But then Luke goes and becomes a Jedi Knight. So then he has to brag about how powerful he is. *smile* Han didn't have to become a Jedi...just give him a blaster and he does fine. Ok....sure Han got frozen in carbonite and Luke helps him out of Jabba's palace; but Luke owed him already for saving his butt of the first Death Star and saving him from freezing to death on Hoth. So Luke still owes him one. Plus, Solo doesn't get kissed on the lips by his sister (Leia)and like it.....*smile* Of course Luke didn't know Leia is his sister at the time ....but just look at his grin in Empire Strikes Back after it happens.... can you say incest. *laughter*

Collecting Star Wars Figures and Memorabilia

Growing up on Star Wars, you had to have some of the figures. Since I was limited on money and had no job, *Come on....I was young* I had to keep most of the purchases to just the figures. No ships...no playsets. *sad* One of my friends got all the ships, figures, and playsets he wanted, cause he was spoiled rotten by his dad. He had tons of toys like GI Joe, He-man, Transformers, Go-bots, and Star Wars. I was so jealous. Now that I have a job, Kenner is making new and improved Star Wars figures. I am so happy!!!! But even though I have money now , I am still just collecting the action figures. I run around like a mad man looking for them all the time. I run into people my age and older that are on the hunt too. It is so satisfying to find the new series of characters after the long hunt full of disappointments. Then the hunt begins again in the next month or two. It is a difficult search since some figures are worth up to $30.00 that just came out this year. Atleast it is not as bad as the Beanie Baby craze, where parents fight for a animal full of beans *smile*
