THE NIGHT AND THE MORNING
He's closed his eyes
He's ceased to speak
He's breathing deeply next to me
But I just cannot sleep
I'm falling into him but he's
Not strong enough to catch me
I'm singing just for him tonight
But I don't think he hears me
I close my eyes
And I go numb
I am in doubt
So I play dumb
He's there for me
Just not enough
He makes me weak
So I play tough
My morning comes
My dreams are gone
He's waking up slowly next to me
He doesn't know what I've done
I turn to him to get some rest
So tired I could die
He wipes tears off my face
He doesn't like it when I cry
